Our Mission
The mission of North Coast Swim Club is to develop top ranked swimmers and world class citizens. NCS offers swimmers an environment in which swimming excellence is a possible achievement and in which each swimmer can reach his or her full potential. Within this framework, NCS realizes an obligation to meet the physical, mental, emotional and social needs of all of it swimmers. At NCS, swimmers have the opportunity to be the best that they can be. North Coast Swim swimmers learn the value of hard work, commitment and self-discipline. They learn to take responsibility for their actions and to develop a true appreciation for what they as individuals can accomplish.

Adam Katz Head Coach |
Adam is a product of the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins, and Hawken School. While there he earned All-American status his sophomore through senior years and was State Champion in the 500 free his senior year. A varsity swimmer for both Indiana University and Ohio State, Adam returned to Cleveland after graduation. He has been at Gilmour Academy and head coach of North Coast Swim Club for the past 12 years. During his tenure there, he has coached Zone and Junior National finalists, high school All-Americans, and helped develop future collegiate swimmers. Adam currently resides in Mayfield Heights with his wife Nicole, and daughters Payton and Camryn.

John started swimming at the age of six for the Suburban Swim League. He continued to swim in the suburban swim league until, at age 16, he was rendered ineligible. At that time, John began swimming for his high school swim team, Eastlake North High School. He swam with the team until graduation, earning himself a varsity letter. Since high school, John has gone on to coach in the Suburban Swim League for the past seven years. He has also been the assistant coach for the Eastlake North High School swim team for the past three years. Not only has John been coaching for the past seven years, in different capacities, he has also been teaching swimming lessons for the past seven years.
